ADComms is proud to announce it has secured a significant new contract with Colas Rail, being selected as the preferred telecommunications delivery partner for the MetroWest Signalling Upgrade.

This major win sees ADComms supporting the re-opening of the Portishead Line as part of the wider Bristol MetroWest programme. Colas Rail is delivering the design and construction of a new digital signalling system for the route, enabling improved connectivity, new passenger services and long-term network enhancements.

Under this contract, ADComms will deliver the operational telecommunications scope critical to the safe and efficient operation of the upgraded railway, including:

    Upgrades to existing and new GSM-R radio coverage across the route

    Expansion of the FTNx network to support modern signalling systems

  • bullet

    Delivery of operational lineside telecoms infrastructure, including fibre, copper and telephony

  • bullet

    Installation, testing and commissioning in line with Network Rail standards

This contract reinforces ADComms’ position as a trusted partner for complex rail telecoms delivery and highlights the strength of its technical capability, delivery expertise and established industry relationships.
