ADComms is proud to announce the award of the BT Megastream Enabling Works contract for Transport for London (TfL), further strengthening our long-standing relationship with one of the UK's largest transport authorities.

The project will see ADComms deliver the installation and integration of new BT/Nokia telecommunications equipment across multiple operational railway locations, supporting critical communications infrastructure upgrades across the TfL and Network Rail estate.

The works will be delivered across key sites including Dalston Junction, New Cross Gate, Paddington Elizabeth Line Station and Romford Rail Operating Centre (ROC), with connectivity provided to both the existing Windrush Line GSM-R network and the wider Network Rail telecommunications network.

As part of the contract, ADComms will be responsible for:

    Installation and integration of new BT/Nokia telecommunications equipment

    Connection to existing Windrush Line GSM-R and Network Rail networks

    Installation of power distribution units (PDUs) and AC/DC converters

  • bullet

    Firewall deployment and monitoring system integration

  • bullet

    Associated cabling and cable route infrastructure

  • bullet

    Testing and commissioning of all equipment and circuits

This award builds on ADComms' extensive experience supporting TfL and the wider rail industry. The company currently delivers telecommunications maintenance services across the Elizabeth Line and has provided GSM-R maintenance and engineering support for the Windrush Line network since 2020.

Drawing on decades of experience delivering complex telecommunications projects within live operational railway environments, ADComms will provide end-to-end project delivery, ensuring safe integration with existing infrastructure while maintaining operational continuity throughout the programme.

The BT Megastream Enabling Works project represents another significant milestone in ADComms' continued commitment to delivering reliable, future-ready telecommunications infrastructure that supports the ongoing modernisation of the UK's transport network.
